In addition to being one of the most visited tourist attractions in the Bahamas to its Long Bay monument to Christopher Columbus, the island has an influx of visitors to the well-known Club Med Columbus Isle, which covers almost 90 acres, and is the primary employer on the island with several hundred staff.
